Libertyville Piano Festival 1st Trophy earned in 2016

Students earn points each year of participation at the Libertyville Piano Festival, based on their rating.  1st Place rating earns 5 points, 2nd place rating earns 4 points and 3rd place rating earns 3 points.  Once students accumulate a total of 15 points, they are awarded a 1st Trophy, and each subsequent accumulation of 15 points earns additional trophies.

Earning the Libertyville Piano Festival 1st Trophy this year are:  Sylvia Chen and William Dai.  Congratulations!

Libertyville Piano Festival, February 6, 2016

Congratulations to the following students who participated in the Libertyville Piano Festival on Saturday, February 6, 2016:  Beth Aquino, Maddy Aquino, Stephanie Aquino, Michael Chen, Sylvia Chen, Wynne Chen, William Dai, Elena Fang,  Alex Gou, Jenny Huang,  Sophia Li, LeAnne Lin, Ellen Niu, Phyllis Wang and Maggie Yuan.

Congratulations to Michael Chen, William Dai, Elena Fang, Phyllis Wang and Maggie Yuan, who were among the 12 students chosen by the judges as "Outstanding Performances" of the festival.  These students will perform in the Festival Honors Recital on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the Condell Hospital Chapel in Libertyville.

NWSMTA Sonata-Sonatina Festival, November 1, 2015

Congratulations to all students that participated in the NWSMTA Sonata-Sonatina Festival on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Harper College.  Gold Medal Winners were Elena Fang, Alex Gou and Sophia Li.  These students performed in the Gold Medal Winners Recital at the Barrington Library on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

Earning silver medals were Maddy Aquino, Wynne Chen, Aaron Gan, Jenny Huang, Carolyne Im, Isabella Robieson, Tiffany Yen and Timmy Zhang.

NWSMTA Festival of Pianos at Northbrook Court on Sunday, September 27, 2015

The 22nd annual Festival of Pianos was held at Northbrook Court again this year.  Students, family members, friends and teachers played together on 6 grand pianos provided by Steinway of Chicago during the weekend of September 26-27 while shoppers enjoyed ongoing ensemble peroformances all afternoon.  Participating students were Beth Aquino, Maddy Aquino, Stephanie Aquino, Sylvia Chen, Wynne Chen, Jaime Cohen, William Dai, Elena Fang, Alex Gou, Jenny Huang, Amanda Im, Carolyne Im, Isabelle Li, Jessica Lin, LeAnne Lin, Pranav Prabhakar, Isabella Robieson and Timmy Zhang.
