Steven Zhang successfully completed all requirements of AIM Level XII, culminating with his AIM Level XII Recital, presented at the Ela Area Library in Lake Zurich on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 2:30pm. Alice Zhang will be performing the third movement of Jacques Ibert's Flute concerto with the Vernon Hills High School Orchestra on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Vernon Hills High School auditorium. Alice will be attending Wheaton College in September 2014 as a flute performance major.

NWSMTA Classical Student Recital, April 13, 2014
William Dai, Isabella Robieson and Fei Wu participated in the NWSMTA Classical Student Recital on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Rolling Meadows Library. There were 15 students that performed various works by the classic masters, represented by 6 NWSMTA area piano teachers. All students received a certificate of participation.

Libertyville Piano Festival 1st Trophy earned in 2014
Students earn poits each year of participation at the Libertyville Piano Festival, based on their rating. 1st Place rating earns 5 points, 2nd Place rating earns 4 points and 3rd Place rating earns 3 points. Once students accumulate a total of 15 points, they are awarded a 1st Trophy, and each subsequent accumulation of 15 points earns additional trophies.

Wynne, Amanda, Rebecca and Isabella will be performing in the Gold Medal Winners Recital on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Vernon Area Library in Lincolnshire. Silver Medal winners were Beth Aquino, Maddy Aquino, Sylvia Chen, William Dai, Carolyne Im, Sophia Li, Phyllis Wang and Fei Wu. Bronze medal winner was Kaylie Rosencranz.
NWSMTA Festival of Pianos, Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Northbrook Court
This marked the 20th year that NWSMTA has sponsored the Festival of Pianos. It was a special event with four 9' Steinway grand pianos and two 7' Steinway grand pianos provided by Steinway of Chicago. Northbrook Court also offered numerous goody bags for raffle and over 300 students participated in duet teams of students, siblings, friends and family. The performances were ongoing from 11:00 am through 5:00 pm with special debut performances of Kevin Olson's arrangement of "A Carmen Celebration" performed mainly by the teachers. Special commemorative posters were given to all performers in addition to the Festival medals. Participating students were Beth Aquino, Maddy Aquino, Stephanie Aquino, Samantha Chin, Maya Cohen, William Dai, Elena Fan, Aaron Gan, Eric Gan, Amanda Im, Carolyne Im, Sophia Li, Tyler Li, LeAnne Lin, Rebecca Lin, Isabella Robieson, Vaishnavi Upad, Tiffany Yen and Timmy Zhang.
